Teeth Whitening in Burton – An Affordable Smile Improvement

Why this procedure is most people’s first experience of cosmetic dentistry.

Mike Allen’s dental practice has been based in Burton for over thirty years. For much of this time, it has been best known as a family dentist, offering general dental care to family members of all ages, from the very young to the very old. Whilst we are proud to still hold this reputation, we have, over the years,  also expanded the range of treatments, to include many popular cosmetic dental treatments as well.

Some of these, such as dental implants, are an excellent addition to our range of procedures, enabling patients with missing teeth to have strong and secure replacements. It is fair to say though, that most people don’t generally look at these from a purely aesthetic viewpoint, although they do also improve a smile if teeth are otherwise missing. In fact, the most widely used cosmetic procedure for anyone looking to have a nicer smile is, perhaps unsurprisingly, a teeth whitening treatment.

Whiter teeth

It is not unusual for patients who come for their six monthly check up, to notice the posters, or browse the literature whilst in our waiting room. Many of these follow up by asking us about the whitening procedure. Especially as we start to hit our middle years, most of us will notice that our teeth are not as white as they were, with many wishing to take action to correct this.

Patients often tell us that they wish they had not done ‘X or Y’ to make their teeth discoloured. The truth though, is that although some foods and drinks do stain teeth; as we get older, the inner part darkens naturally and there is nothing that we can do about that. With our home whitening kit though, you can restore the whiteness of your teeth once again.

Convenient

To whiten a patient’s teeth, we first of all examine them to ensure that they are healthy. Impressions will then be taken of the teeth and these are used to produce trays, into which the whitening gel is to be placed. Within a week or so, you will be able to collect the trays and start your whitening treatment. You will be given full instructions as to how to perform this task in the comfort of your own home, and we will also ask that you visit us within two to three weeks of starting so that we can review your progress.

Once the treatment is complete, you will notice a very significant improvement in the colour of your teeth. The whiteness of your teeth is something that will be instantly noted by those around you, and all for a reasonable cost too!
