Our patients – number one priority at Mike Allen’s Dental Practice.
Realistically, visiting a dental practice is rarely an enjoyable event. These days, with modern care and facilities it is likely to be a stress free and painless visit, but nonetheless, a visit that some people dread and few actually look forward to. This may not be ‘selling’ ourselves very well, but we prefer to be pragmatic as opposed to some dentists who might claim that their services are akin to being pampered at the local health spa.
Having said that, there is no getting away from the fact that good oral health is important. Increasingly, studies are indicating that it not only is important for our teeth and gums, but may well also affect other health issues such as heart problems.
Given then, that oral health checks are important, it makes sense, as a dental practice, to not only provide an excellent service as far as any treatment is concerned, but also to ensure that our patients feel as welcome and comfortable as possible.
A friendly practice
At Mike Allen’s Dental in Burton, we pride ourselves on offering a friendly service. We find that this approach not only helps to put nervous patients at ease, but provides a pleasant working environment as well. This is not only beneficial for our patients but for our clinical staff too.
We also take our time to listen to our patients, giving them time to explain any indications of pain that they may be having with a tooth; or, in cases where cosmetic dental care is required, their hopes and expectations for their smile.
If patients feel rushed and unable to express these, it can be harder to diagnose problems and to ensure a successful outcome.
Keeping up to date
As a highly experienced dentist, it could be all too easy to rest on our laurels with the training that we have already had. This is not the case with Mike Allen though, who continually updates his training to stay abreast of recent developments in order to offer the best service possible for his patients. This applies to equipment too, with new technologies constantly monitored, and, where applicable, purchased. These are not simply ‘must have gadgets’ but enable more accurate diagnosis and efficient dental treatment.
Emergencies
No dentist likes to see their patients in pain and our team at our Burton on Trent dental practice are no exception. For urgent dental treatment, we always try our best to see a patient the same day.
To help us with this, we do ask that patients don’t put off making a call, hoping the pain will go away. The earlier in the day that you can call us, the more likely it is that we will see you the same day.
