Denplan Excel is an accreditation programme for dentists to demonstrate excellence in quality assurance, patient care and communication.<\/p>\n
In addition to offering Denplan payment plans <\/a>to our patients, we have opted to take extra measures to give us the Denplan Excel status. This is optional for practices, but here at our\u00a0practice in\u00a0Burton\u00a0we are to keen to\u00a0uptake as we continuously\u00a0work\u00a0to improve our service.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This involves the practice being validated every 18 months by a trained Denplan advisor to ensure we are up to date with all legal and clinical requirements. We aren\u2019t looking to meet minimum standards.\u00a0 At Mike Allen’s\u00a0Dental Practice\u00a0we aim to\u00a0exceed these standards, giving us \u2018best practice\u2019 status.<\/p>\n Areas covered by the assessment are:<\/p>\n \u2022 Infection control and decontamination<\/p>\n \u2022 Ionising Radiation Regulations<\/p>\n \u2022 Record keeping<\/p>\n \u2022 Professional indemnity<\/p>\n \u2022 Out-of-hours emergency cover<\/p>\n \u2022 The Environmental Protection Act<\/p>\n \u2022 Management of patient collapse<\/p>\n \u2022 Complaints handling<\/p>\n \u2022 Post-graduate education<\/p>\n Patient surveys provides an anonymous and confidential way for our patients to give us any feedback.\u00a0 We receive many compliments which are very encouraging and appreciated, but we are also very interested on any areas we can improve on.\u00a0 We take our information, look at ways of implementing any changes and feedback to our patients.<\/p>\n We are keen to give our patients information to take home to read at leisure about treatments.\u00a0 We find this enhances patients understanding of the treatments available and helps motivate patients and make better informed decisions.<\/p>\n Opting for Excel shows our patients that we are committed to quality care and continuous improvement, and have their best interests at heart.
